World’s First DC-Powered, Ductless Mini-Split Air Conditioner Unveiled by Solar Panels Plus

New SplitCool DC18 Unit is Designed for Off-Grid Solar for Commercial and Residential Locations

On a given day it can be an 18,000 BTU unit or a 4,000, 8,000, or 12,000 BTU unit based on need. By eliminating the on-off cycle of traditional air conditioners, the SplitCool DC18 is more efficient and it can provide more hours of cooling while using less power. No other HVAC solution can deliver the level of individual control and precision that you get with a Mitsubishi Electric solution. By moving refrigerant, rather than conditioned air, to the zone to be cooled and heated, temperature is more precisely controlled. Combined with intelligent air handling units that measure room air temperature, you can maintain the set point within 1 degree Fahrenheit.www.MitsubishiPro.comMitsubishi Electric--Advancing HVACSelect air handling units also feature an i-see[TM] sensor accessory, which senses and compares air and floor temperatures, and then adjusts vane direction as needed to optimize the comfort within the space. The SplitCool DC18 runs off a battery bank that is supplied power from an array of photovoltaic panels and installs without ducts, eliminating the majority of installation and materials costs. The unit can be added quickly to an existing structure and eliminates nearly 30 percent of cooling or heating losses which occur in the ductwork of forced air systems. It allows each room to be conditioned as a separate zone. The SplitCool DC18 can be used in permanent and temporary remote buildings or structures, such as construction office trailers, portable classrooms or medical facilities.Certain VRF systems feature simultaneous cooling and heating that removes excess heat energy from one zone and applies it to a different zone. The system's Branch Circuit (BC) controller performs all the work, bypassing the compressor unit and saving electricity. With simultaneous cooling and heating, you never have to worry about when to switch large systems over from cooling or heating. And, tenants can more precisely control their environments, managing for fluctuating load levels due to ambient conditions or use of their individual space.

  4. A messy air channel of Ductless WIFI HVAC Systems can limit wind stream, causing solace and proficiency issues, for example, a solidified evaporator curl.

  7. Yoo mini splits with solar power is the way to go! I've been reading a bunch about this and it's a winning combination. the heat pump systems use very little electricity but they're also strong enough to heat and cool your entire home (if you have enough air handlers and all of course). So then you can use your own solar power for all the energy you need. It's a real game changer b/c heating and cooling takes up the most electricity, even more than all those electronics. Only thing you need to watch for is like mold and stuff growing in the systems. But you can tell that's a problem if there's a bad mini split smell like dirty socks or old cheese. And a cleaning gets rid of it easily.

  8. Solar panels plus mini splits is really a winning combination. Depending on how big of an array you can put on your home, it's now entirely possible to heat and cool your home with your own power. Now that the heat pumps they have out today can handle winter in most parts of the country, more people can get rid of gas heat and go electric. And, we're seeing that happen more and more. The one downside of mini splits is that they tend to get dirty and then circulate dust and dirt, and pollen or even mold spores into the air. People end up feeling sick or suffering from more asthma attacks when the air handlers are dirty. Fortunately a quick deep clean solves the problem.
